The New World Console Beta is Now Live

Earlier this year, Amazon announced that their MMORPG, New World, would be hitting consoles. At the same time, the game would be going through a complete rebranding. It would remain the same game at heart (so if you buy New World gold now, it’ll still work with the new version).  It is just that Amazon haven’t had the greatest amount of success getting the masses to play New World long-term, at least since the launch of the game. They hope that by releasing on console, they’ll be able to grab some of that market and give the game a boost.

Anyway, the New World console beta is now live. People are playing this game on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S right now. Although, if you’re not in the beta, you probably won’t be. Let’s tell you all about it.

The Confidential Closed Beta Run Time

The New World console beta will run from the 26th to the 31st of July. Players can play it as much as they like during that time.

If you wanted to be part of the beta, you would have needed to be offered a beta code from one of the various Amazon partner websites. There were a lot of codes available, although we can’t possibly say how many people were playing on the servers at once.

This Beta is Confidential

Unfortunately, we don’t expect there to be much data leaking from the confidential beta, because it is confidential. If you are playing the console beta, then you need to sign an NDA beforehand, and this means that you cannot disclose anything that happens during the test. We’re sure that some information will slip through the cracks, but don’t expect to stumble across too much in the way of leaks about the game. Amazon is known to come down hard on leakers, and New World players probably don’t want to run the risk of getting their account blocked (or sued) in the future.

What Is the Purpose of the New World Beta?

The purpose of the New World beta is to test how the game is running on the consoles. Amazon is encouraging anybody playing the beta to share feedback they have on the game. They’re especially looking for information about bugs, but since the game has also gone through a complete rehash, they’re also open to feedback on any new features they’ve added and how they work.

Will There be Future Betas?

In the lead-up to New World launching on console, you can expect there to be more betas. There may even be an open beta for the game. This is when everybody can take part, and it would serve well to be great advertising for the game. We’ll let you know when that happens.

Don’t forget – you can still play New World today, but only on PC. Why not buy a PC account, and then look into New World boosting for sale from u7buy.com and get up to max level quickly? Your character would then be ready for the PC launch.
