Abu Dhabi Full Day Tour – Sightseeing in Abu Dhabi

The bustling UAE capital is bursting with life and there are so many different things to see – from the world’s largest mosque to the stunning Emirates Palace. Take an Abu Dhabi Full Day Tour and let a professional guide show you the highlights of this amazing city.
Typically, these tours start off with a pick-up from your hotel located in Dubai and a drive to Abu Dhabi that takes about 1.5 hours. The first stop is usually the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which is a huge religious structure and the only one that allows non-Muslims to enter. It’s famous for its gorgeous interiors including 24-carat chandeliers and an enormous courtyard. Some tours also include a visit to Qasr Al Watan, which is a palace that was once the home of the ruling family and offers some great insights into local history and traditions.
From there, you’ll likely head toward the Louvre Museum, which was recently added to the list of Abu Dhabi attractions. This stunning museum was inspired by the renowned Louvre in Paris and it’s definitely something to add to your Abu Dhabi sightseeing itinerary! You’ll get to see some wonderful artworks and learn about the rich culture of the UAE as you explore the museum.
After you’ve had a chance to explore the Louvre, you can probably use the energy from all that sightseeing to have a bite to eat. Try out Glo, which is a restaurant at the Rosewood Hotel in Abu Dhabi that’s got a tasty menu, cool aesthetics and an awesome view of the city skyline. You can get your grub on here for around $35 or less, which is really affordable for such a great place.
Most trips to Abu Dhabi also include a trip to the traditional Date Market, where you can stroll around the stalls and buy some exotic dates and other fruits and vegetables. Afterwards, you can head toward the Heritage Village, which is a reconstruction of an ancient oasis town and provides a window into traditional Bedouin life. This is a great opportunity to see how the people of Abu Dhabi used to live, and also take in some beautiful views of the surrounding cityscape.
Lastly, you’ll probably want to check out the Etihad Towers, which are five high-rise buildings that pierce the skyline of Abu Dhabi. You can see them from street level, but if you’re feeling brave, you can actually go all the way up to the 74th floor of Tower 2! This is an incredible photo op, so make sure to have your camera ready.
It’s important to dress modestly for your visit to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque and the Presidential Palace, so be sure to cover up any bare skin. Women should especially make sure that their heads are covered with a scarf or something similar. It’s also a good idea to wear comfortable shoes for walking around all the attractions. Tipping your tour guide isn’t necessary, but it’s always appreciated if you do!
